Breton Paragon Multiwire Machine: Why Choose It

The multiwire machines are used for the production of slabs from a block of marble or granite, they represent excellence in the marble sector and have important characteristics that make the cut precise, clean and prevent vibrations.

In the marble and granite sector, this machine is really essential, so buying it new is equivalent to a very important investment. If you are looking for a used machine for granite, our company Formenti Service has a very good, fully functional used multiwire machine: Breton Paragon.

70 wires Breton Paragon multiwire saw

Paragon is Breton’s multiwire machine for sawing granite and mabrle blocks in slabs of 20, 30 mm or thicker. It  is a sturdy and very precise multiwire machine, designed to minimise vibration during the cutting phase and guarantee the maximum precision in wire positioning in order to minimise wastage of material.

The isosceles triangle construction geometry, combined with the one meter diameter rollers, allow to optimize efficiency of the wire  in contact with the material or in the free sections, guaranteeing very high  traction.

The quality of the cut and the high performance achieved by this machine are tangible in terms of production, life of the wire and maintenance of cutting positions. Also, with the “adjustable guide wheels” also with small blocks, you can always use the machine in the best conditions in terms of the tangential direction of sawing.

Why choose Breton Paragon multiwire saw?

Various thickness slabs: 20,30,40,50 mm or more.
Breton Paragon can saw slabs of different thicknesses, from the classic 20 or 30 mm sizes up to high thicknesses of 40 and 50 mm or more

Isosceles triangle geometry to extend the wires lifetime
The exclusive structure of Breton Paragon allows the use of wires with length restricted to 20 metres, thus guaranteeing lower levels of vibration of the wires during the cut with consequent improved sawing quality and longer duration of the rubber profiles.

Load-bearing structure optimised to cancel vibrations.
The wheels and tensioners are mounted in a strong closed steel frame which runs along the load-bearing columns.

Simple and safe wires installation.
The range of movement of the tension wheels in generous, thus allowing the cutting wires to be installed quickly and easily, while all forms of complex pretensioning systems have been eliminated.

The structure of Breton Paragon

To optimize cutting and eliminate vibrations, the rollers and tensioners have been mounted inside a rigid closed steel structure that runs along the load-bearing columns, rigidly anchored to the ground and stabilized by steel tie rods which do not ensure irrelevant deformation for the purposes of the cut. The deformation of the columns during shearing was verified with finite element mathematical calculations.

How the wires are mounted on Breton Paragon

The range of movement of the tensioning pulleys is wide so as to make assembly of the lines quick and easy, and any complicated pre-tensioning system has been eliminated. The ladder and walkway system allows for easy assembly for the operator. The drive and idle rollers are easily accessible and protected by a convenient sliding casing. The valves to exclude the unused tensioners are positioned on the upper walkway, in a comfortable position for the operator.
